I miss placed my plastic screw grommets when I removed them to get the car painted was hopping someone can tell me the size of grommet to get

Can you describe more about which grommets you're referring to? I'm not picturing them, but maybe an '80 spider has something that my earlier spiders don't have.

They are the plastic inserts that go in to the bottom and top of the rocker to secure the rocker panel

Sorry, can't help you there. The rocker panels on my earlier spiders are secured by 3 sheet metal screws along the top (under the chrome threshold plate in the door opening), 3 or 4 sheet metal screws along the bottom edge, and one screw/nut in each of the wheel wells. Maybe someone else recognizes the grommets you're referring to.

There is the rubber screw behind the plastic plug in the front wheel well.

A few nylon nut inserts for the trim strips and the plastic plugs for covering some access holes.

Aside from the rubber adjuster screw the rest can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
