Front seal on hood frame

Post by fl1963 »

I am replacing front hood rubber seal (the one that sits on the hood and goes onto the top of the front windscreen). The old rubber was broken and had the 2nd lip cut off, so no point in refitting based on how that was done. Can anybody show me a picture of what way the rubber profile should be fitted, please

I have a link to my Facebook request for help below with photos of the rubber seal.

Got no replies on this forum and did a few more hours of searching the internet and found what I needed here.

Hope this may be helpful to someone else.

I think the lack of replies might be due to a translation difficulty. For most of us American speaking members the "hood" is the sheet metal that covers the engine. I know I was very confused by your question. I now realize that you were talking about what we call the "top."

Glad you found the answer to your question.
