This is my story. Mine was missing. I purchased bottle with pump from a salvage yard. At the time, he hooked it to a battery and the pump worked

I installed it much later (after the paint job). It squirted but also leaked badly.

I've drilled out the rivets and separated the motor. The motor had corrosion internally; meaning it had a water leak through the shaft. It has been cleaned and lubed and is working again.
To fix this shaft leak, I added an 0-ring and siliconed it to the larger original rubber seal. Because this original seal leaked, I added silicone. Put it back together,,again,, and again,,and again

I surmise that the motor just isn't strong any more. While it spins freely without the rubber seal, it bogs down and stops when it has to spin through the rubber seal.
I have given up trying to make it work (something so simple

The pump is fixed to the bottle with an internal retainer ring. Once it comes off, it is off for good. One option is to buy a pump from a vendor (it appears to be the same motor) and attach the new motor to the old base. I might end up with the same leak. If it is the same motor, it is none too reliable judging from the posts I have read.
This leads me to my original question
