Are these tanks really the same ? Will I be able to take the lower part of the coupe tank and just weld it on the upper part of mine ???

Hi people. I have a tank of a '73 spider that is damaged in the lower part. I'm beeing offered a coupe '74 tank damaged in the upper part.
Are these tanks really the same ? Will I be able to take the lower part of the coupe tank and just weld it on the upper part of mine ???

if you want easyer solution, i can sell you one in excellent condition at very acceptable price and we're not far away so shipping will not be an issue
