Ignition switch

Post by johnssi »

I'm looking for a replacement original ignition switch in good working order for my 81 Spider. I've taken it apart a couple of times and each time I think I've got it where it is back in good condition, but then after a short time it will start messing up again. I just have to wiggle the wires at the back end of the switch, but that's a pain and doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence in my wife when she's driving the Bella. I know you can buy new replacement switches at the major catalogs but they don't support the interior light or chimes and I'm kind of a stickler about things like that. I wonder if I could buy a new switch and change out just the guts but keep the housing which is where the chimes/light portion of the switch is located. Any thoughts? Anybody out there have a switch?
