Coil clamps

Has anyone any experience with clamping coils to lower the car rather than buying lowering springs ? Pros or Cons ?

ive never done, but ive seen it done, and I personally would never do it. reason being, is that i dont like the idea of the spring sitting on the top or the bottom of the clamp during compression. it cant be that good for it. just my .02 cents.

I think cutting the springs would be a better option ! the lowering
springs that most venders sell tend to leave you wanting it lower
then what you end up with from what i've seen .
