Trunk light

How does it work? I see no switch of any kind in the trunk.

I've never thought about it. Of course it hasn't worked in 25 years.

On my 78 it is on the marker light circuit, if the markers are on (middle position, with or w/o key on or down position, key on only, of light switch) then it is on.
I think I have seen some pics of other models with a switch activated by the trunk hinge when open/closed.

If the lights are on, the trunk light is on even with the lid closed.
