quick question about parking lights

the headlight switch when in the middle ...all the parking lights come on.... key off... headlights do not come on when switch is moved to that position with the key off... is that normal... thanks...matt... 76 spider

Normal....parking lights do not require the key to be on, headlights do.
BTW if your trunk light works, it will also come on with the parking lights.-
