Hi everyone,

I just got new doors from someone last week (same colour car but his doors had mirrors and a locking key - which i didnt have so i took both). Now here is the issue, i've taken off my doors and do not know how to get the new doors on. I see how they should be mounted but i cant imagine where the screw would go into seeing how big the holes are....

any ideas if i'm missing something to screw the bolt into... the bolts i took off were attached to something that might have fallen into the car....

Please help!!!

Thanks!
IA

Do you have the hinges on the doors?

I'm not really sure what to make of your situation, but there's usually a plate with nuts attached that floats inside of the mounting holes and allows for adjustment. Could this have shifted or fallen? Pics might help,.

if your mounting nut bracket fell inside
remove the lower kick pannel and find them
set them back in place or have someone hold them while you bolt it up.joe

HI, yes i'm thinking the mounting nut bracket fell.
Any ideas on what it looks like?
I cannot remove the lower kick panel since the car seems completely welded together... so i cannot find a point of entry. Any ideas on how to move on this?

thanks again!

the bolt plates are loosely encapsulated in metal boxes. yours are probably still in there someplace. if not, you have some fab work to do.

azruss thank you so much for the help.
I didnt reply since i found something out that was sad.
the bolts fell through and were melted in by the last owner because the doors were not being held by the body anymore... so now i've decided to part the car out.

I have 2 sets of doors to sell now both yellow hahhaa

thanks for all the help to everyone!
