Can I put 1981 seat pans on 1969 seats?

Just bought some cheap seats because my 81 seats are dirty and nasty. The pans however, are good. The 69' pans will require some welding. No big problem. But if I can transplant. I will. Anyone know?

as far as i can tell, the only differences in the seats are the headrest and restraint system. bottom part should be the same.

That's what it looks like to me too. They'll be solid as a rock if it works. When I get around to swapping things around I will report back.

the pans will bolt up but dont try changing the foam and vinyl its not the same. I remember putting my 68 seats in my 1980 and there was something not right and I had to go chase down the guy who I had sold my 68 shell and misc part to. and buy the pans back
