Hood Pins, What do you think?

Abarth had a fiberglass hood (saving weight). too light weight and flimsy to have a traditional hood release.

I'd like to eliminate the old cable release altogether if possible - any type of pin / strap install would be great to see! The current release doesn't seem too solid so I'm hoping to prevent some aggrevation

How about a big magnetic latch?

I mounted along the beam on the firewall for v6spider 1.0.. In the new version I eliminated the need for hood pins. BTW the stock hood latch is plenty to hold the hood down. It just needs to be properly adjusted and lubed.
