I think that those seats play quite a big role on your car for wind .... I did notice a difference by moving the visors up and down but nothing like the wind screen ..... cant help with the Miata question but I do love the story .... I offer rides up quite often and the grinning child response is a common one

and thanks to a kind universe for retiring the miata picture ...although I have to admit I still cringe when someone mentions that car

We just put a wind deflector on our car and love the difference it has made while driving at highway speeds. However I'm not yet sold on how it looks.

Will post pictures soon.

In my opinion, they look fine from the back, from the front and from an angle. I don't care how they look straight on from the side. When I'm worried about how it looks, I can simply fold it down like I did at the last car show I attended. If you use nylon washers at the hinge points and self locking/nylock nuts, you can adjust the tension so it will stay up or fold down using one hand. Piece of cake with the economy wind deflector sold by Autoricambi. I've not owned the higher priced one but I'd imagine you could do the same with it.

That's exactly how I've got ours set up. It's very easy to put up or down, and I suspect that the air it's keeping off the back of our heads is actually helping it to stay up and in place when at speed.

We went with the economy deflector from autoricambi, the one with the humps, primarily because we had a 500 mile road trip ahead of us and that was the only one available at the time. I suspect that I'd like the other one, straight/flat one, a little more but....

I do have one complaint though. I'm a turn your head and check your blind spot kind of driver. I use my mirrors like everyone else, but years of motorcycle commuting has made the head turn a habit for me.

The first time I looked over my shoulder with the wind deflector up I caught myself looking at the deflector screen instead of looking through the deflector screen. For whatever reason it took me a bit to get used to.

Probably not worth labeling as a complaint.

To be honest I actually like the way it looks....

And I agree, it really does make the cab so much more comfortable.
