brown wire bummer

I was also under the impression that I didn't need to do the brown wire fix on my 1981. From reading other posts as well as blogs on the net. Hopefully that rings true. Looking forward to seeing more discussion on this thread. I haven't searched about replacing the pods. I will do that at a later date. I too many other things to fix first. LOL

Not having seen any others, I can't say whether it is a 'fix' or not, but the brown wire appears heavy enough to handle the load. The wire coming from the trunk in an earlier post goes to the relay set for fuel injection and the fuel pump. It doesn't share the other loads.
