Sudden shut off

I have relaced the ingnition module and occasionaly the car shuts off any input to this issue.

pretty vague;
does it shut off under power? while idling? does it restart easily?

it shuts off while running and starts up after a few cranks.

A 1980 Spider could be either carb'd or FI. Which do you have?
There are symtpoms like yours that come up on either, but may be a different cause, depending on components.

Did it shut off before you replaced the ignition module?

It's doing after the ignition module was replaced it's a carb model, with a new carb.
