Greg Smith $70.00 well spent

Post by NJFIAT1981 »

Just did the Greg Smith relay upgrade for my headlights. WOW! What a difference even with standard lamps. Tomorrow I will replace the standard lamps with halogens. I just can't believe how much brighter the beams got. I can actually see driving down my street at night.
Now $70.00 may seem like alot of money to those of you that have all the parts and the knowledge of how to install them and still have lights. For me the $70.00 was money well spent. ( I am an electrical dolt) Directions were very clear. Took me about 40 minutes. Went so easy that I was suprised that it worked so well. I have to order another set for my 1981. Well done Greg Smith! :D

OK. Spill the beans! Brown wire surgery? Tell me more.
BTW. I have a very nice short shifter I have yet to install. Need to learn a few italian curse words (As per the directions) to mutter and yell out loud as I install the shifter. George :D

Thanks Mike. Just downloaded this and will see if I can accomplish this without screwing it up. My wipers are really slow

getting a fresh 12 volt power supply to the accessories is what that is all about. with age comes corroded and loose electrical connections; which rob power beween the source and the component.

you can get that fresh power from the battery, the alternator, or the starter...whichever is most convenient.
