I also have a 79, and I dont like my luggage rack either! The prob is they bolt directly to the outter skin, and dent the deck lid. It makes it more difficult to repair, and you would still have holes on inside. AT the FFO this summer, I saw a Burgandy color that me and wife both really liked. The problem with dark colors is they show up any defects, ok, if you have a real good body man. My 61 Fiat originally came with 2 tone black and RED door panels and seats! The body was a med grey. My 79 was silver and PO had a cheap red paint job, not enough prep work, and I think it looks like crap! Luckilly my buddy is a body and paint guy! I wont know for sure on the color untill the last second.

If you can believe it I still haven't gotten it painted. It's like a really good book or something sentimental. I don't want to put it down, but at the same time I don't want to finish it because then the story's over......of course it still is a Fiat, so of course I guess the "Story" never really ends now does it?!

Think of it this way: If it's like a good book, it could only lead to other stories by the same author. :D Paint leads to new interior, new wheels, etc...

Code: Select all

Headline: Angelique, who typically is seen in her trademark Pink
Corvette, was seen on the beach in Santa Monica today sporting
a retro convertible of some kind. Passerby's thought it was just the
latest installment from the MTV ghetto show "Pink my Ride".

the 80s called Angelique and asked her to please retire that hair
style already !

just like our Spiders, she's vintage. Just think of the visibiility for any Fiat club that would prep a Spider in pink and put her in it
