Sqeakey front suspension

My pass. side squeaks over bumps
big or small...if I go to the front
and just push up and down
on the bumper it just squeaks
like crazy...it seems like it
is from the pass. side mostly...

Bushings maybe?

could also be a bad ball joint. I'd check it out before driving the car anymore. If the lower ball joint fails, the suspension collapses and the results can be disasterous!

possible source is the upper shock mount/shock tower. if the bolt on the shock is loose it will sqweak alot, and eventually wear a nice hole that you dont want.

After carefully inspecting the ball joints you might want to shoot some rubber lube into all the rubber suspension pieces. The rubber drys out. If you don't let it go too long this will take care of it. This should be part of a normal chassis lube job.

What is an example of Rubber Lube? I thought most greases should be avoided when it comes to rubber. Is there a name brand or something to look for?

used to be able to buy rubber lube in gallon containers, but I haven't seen it in years. The last stuff I got was called waxlube. It worked really well not only on rubber but on metal-to-metal contact spots, such as leaf springs
