sometimes no power

Anybody else have this problem, it just started recently but sometimes when i try to start the car, nothing will happen meaning the gauges will not work. but the starter still turns over but wont start. I have to turn the key on and off for a few times for the gauges to work again and then I can start the car. Any solutions. Thanks, Mike
