850 Parts Sources

Post by peteb875 »

I've just purchased my first Fiat - a 1970 850 Sport that has 50k original miles and a 1979 New York window sticker. It's complete with even the shroud below the engine.

My plan is to disassemble and completely restore the car, but I am having difficultly locating any 850 parts online. There is a small smattering on the sites listed, but not anything specific to the 850.

any suggestions?

I'm not aware of any vendors that are bringing 850 parts into the US anymore. Linearossa did have some stuff available, but they closed up the US warehouse a couple of years ago. You might do a search for Linearossa in Germany.

I would look up Chris Obert at http://www.fiatplus.com He is the man to know for all your non 124 needs

850 Parts

I recently bought a 72 850 sport spider for my son's project car, I have also experienced the same problem.
Chris Obert does seem to have the widest selection, but i have found his prices pretty high unless your desperate. You may want to find a junk dealer that deals internationally for some items, and also a nearby garage that services italian cars etc.

You may also want to try....
vickautopart.com
esportscarparts.com
rayce.com
rockauto.com

If you stumble onto something good, please let me know!

I've posted the same question on Fiat Center and was pointed to a couple of more sites - on is in Germany. I think with some of it, I'll just have to suck it up and pay a little extra - a complete car for $200 is worth it!

I am hoping it will be a majority of wear pieces that I replace, but will have to see what happens when I get the car apart.

Some of the other sites recommended for others:

http://www.funimported.com/ - Located in Vernon CT
http://www.linearossa.de/ - German - google translator can make the parts list amusing - how's your parking brake rope?

1. Get a parts car
2. Persistently pursue internet options especially all Fiat forums (this ain't the only one).

Best of luck to you.

Hey, I have a parts sheet with prices from Chris Obert. If you send me an email at danielreinhardt@msn.com asking for "price sheets" I'll email them to you. They are labeled "124" and "1800" but both have random 850 parts in them. I'd still contact Chris because I think they have a file for just the 850....

Thanks Danno - You can download the whole catalogue on the site in PDF - my only problem is that the organization makes it really hard to find anything. Linerossa has a great cataloge (all the body panels, rubber seals etc.). Well organized.
