Do you have a Haynes manual? If not, you should. It says you need a 53 amp alternator. Others may have advice on where to find one in your area.

Which wire is broken? If you're not sure the alternator is good, you can take it and have it bench tested.

i tried one place to get it tested, they could not do it, something they did not have. so im not sure what it was, the wire that broke,? im not sure,i can clip another male end to it but i would like to make sure it works, or i may get a new one, that would be around 78 bucks , at least then i know for sure

well regardless of getting the alt tested, you certainly need to replace a broken wire.

ANY rebuild place will gladly test your alternator, usually for free. Look for a place that advertising rebuilding of alternators, generators and starters. and i am NOT necessarily talking about a parts supplier.

thats tru, as i said i only went to one place.
i was looking at the alternator and i notice there no holes to hold back the brushes when u take it apart, i mean when u put it together, what holds the brushes back so u can re assemble it
