Floorpans
Does anyone know why there’s little triangular cutouts in both the driver and passenger side of the floorboards? They look factory and I’m fixing minor rust spots so curiosity stuck me.

Re: Floorpans
They are drain openings so that any water that gets in the footwells can drain out. A very bad design, as water from the road can also enter from the bottom, soaking that jute-fiber mat and thereby keeping the floorpans wet for a long time. A big part of the reason the Fiat floorpans rusted so much.
