Does anyone know if the 79 Brown Metalic Factory Paint is Single Stage or Dual Stage? Trying to bring back some life to original paint. Thanks in advance?

Not sure if it still works but when clear coat base coat was a new thing; use a white soft cloth and white rubbing compound rub a small amount of the compound in a small area. If the paint color transfers to the cloth its single stage paint. If the cloth stays colorless its usually clear coat.

I don't think they did two stage paint in the 70s.
1979 Fiat Spider (since new)
2005 Lincoln LS (the wife's car)
2003 Chevrolet Cavalier (daily driver)
1999 Honda Shadow VLX 600
1972 Grumman Traveller 5895L (long gone).
