1) This is a temporary condition that will be addressed when I remove the front bumper.
2) IMO this provides no more or less protection to the body work than any of the other methods lined out in this thread.
Low speed parking lot impacts will be no problem. Anything faster than that, and I think even the stock install will fail to prevent body damage.
3) I do my level best to avoid allowing my car to "contact" anything.

Will I know this is a old topic but I’m starting to do a rear bumper tuck so I drilled a hole at the bottom of the big end of the shock got a shower of oil all over me but I still get a springing Action on the shock as I push the shock down it comes back up again is that normal all the oil has drained out
I can’t keep it to where I would like it

Had ours sandboxed to get rid of the peeling chrome and rust.
Then 2 coats of etching primer followed by multiple costs of matte black wheel paint all from rattle cans.
Looks pretty good, imho.
