I have always wanted to put koni's on my car and since i was doing a steering fix and bushing job I figured now was a good time (plus I found them on amazing sale...)

Jeez does EVERYTHING have to be such a PITA!?

One of the lower bolts was stripped or something. Basically the nut spun on the bolt but did not back off. Had to grind the bolt off.

One of the shock tower top mounts was broken off and needs to be welded back on.

I cannot for the life of me get the shock to compress enough to get into the lower bolt hole. Like 1/4" off.

This should be one of the easiest jobs we can do on these cars, dammit.

That’s frustrating!

I had a Nissan truck on which I had to cut shock mounts off & fabricate/weld new ones .

Is there still a sale on Konis somewhere?

OK it was actually my dumb ass trying to squeeze a rear shock in the front...

yeah, they definitely work better when they're going on the correct end of the car. I can laugh heartily, because it sounds like something I could have done.
