Bucks County, PA covered bridge tour 10/22

Post by PhillySpider »

Hi All,

Next Sunday, October 22th is our annual Bucks County Covered Bridge Tour.
We will start the tour at the Washington Crossing Park in PA. The meeting point will be the large parking lot 1/8 mile north of the Visitors Center, on the PA side of the River. The Driving Tour starts at 9:45 AM.

The tour will end at the Van Sant Airport with a picnic lunch, please feel free to bring something to share. The airport will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers.

Please let me know if you are going, I want to make sure we have everyone before we start the tour. Last year's turnout and weather were perfect.

Well - how did it go? I'd love to tour the New England backroads and bridges this time of year. Someday.

It was nice, we had 24 cars. next year we should do two groups as it was a bit much trying to stay together with the small roads.

Thanks for posting all the pics! Some very nice cars there, and it looks like everyone was having a great time. I can't imagine how many hours of restoration and mechanical work, combined from all the cars, that event represented. Thousands, I'm sure. Labor of love I guess.

And wow Lemcelo has a dual carb with a turtle back - I don't see those very often.

Several pics had open hoods. Were there any major mechanical issues of note?

Some day I'll drive New England in the fall (hopefully with my Spider).

Peace.
Out.
