Broken Hazard Switch.

Post by FirstSpider »

So I figured out what is causing my turn signals to malfunction, my Hazard switch is broken. I'm going off to college real soon and I can't really afford to replace it, so which of the wires that lead to it do I have to connect to get power to my turn signals?
Thanks in advance.

I think his profile has him down as a 1981 spider. That would be the round switch. Don't have a wiring diagram in front of me to see what wires to use in any type of bypass that would gain turn signals but disable flashers.

Others have done this before with a jumper wire on the plastic ring.

Check your fuses. The switches typically go for around $70 and the jumper will work until you can get a switch. occasionally one will go for cheap on e-bay but your not really sure if it is a good switch until you install.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!
