I had read somewhere a while ago that the 83-85 Spiders had a headlight relay. Is that true? If so, where is it located?

Yes, Under the glove box.
Last year my low beam was not working. Change the relay and everything is OK

So can I use a 55/65 watt headlight without adding a relay?

I found a Bosch kit for $45 pair w/o bulb. What about using a 55/100 Hella bulb?
Any suggestions from anyone?
