Pick-up cable from distributor

Post by Hudini »

Hi, I need help. I have 79 spider 2000.
I have problem with distributor wires. In distributor wires are completely naked, no insulation. I want to make a new cable by itself. Now, in distributor we I have 3 wires (1 is ground, 2 are pick up signal). But, on connector that goes to coil, i have 2 wires. Where the ground goes.

Here's a picture that shows where the ground wire mounts to the dist. If you do decide to buy one, they are much less expensive, (30 bucks or so) from the Fiat vendors, but thus was the best pic that I found.

Here is how mine is, grounded in the dizzy, just like my photo shows, with the othe piece fasten down in the dizzy too
Black wire and green wire go to the watchama call it :) ,ground as you see short stub
Other end of the wire is blue wire and brown wire, connected in a plug, that plug slides on the module, that most likely is mounted behind the coil, coil is mounted to a ? Can't recall the name
Ground is on the dizzy end
