Fuses, wires and headaches

Post by profcucchi »

Good afternoon, all.

After a looong winter, I've taken my car out (turned over by the third try and drove great) but the headlights, wipers and horn don't work. If I drive during the day and no other cars are around, I'm happy, but the lack of horn could be a problem.

I have the Artigue diagrams, checked the fuses and have cleaned all the grounds (G3 took 20 minutes to find, don't laugh!), a violet wire was holding on by a strand (thanks PO), otherwise everything else looks good. When this happened the first time, back in October, I shook the wires under the glove compartment and it worked again - no such luck this time.

What else can I look for?

Thanks.

even though the fuses may look good, they may have corrosion on the ends preventing contact. Remove the fuse and wire brush or sand the contacts
