Hello, hopefully somebody can help me a little. I want to replace the points in my marelli S155C distributor. It seems like the best system is Pertronix and I have found out that the product to use should be Pertronix MR-142. The problem is that it is quite difficult to find it. It would be a lot easier for me to order a Pertronix MR-LS1 or Pertronix MR-LS2 from ebay and make a new aluminum plate to fit it inside the distributor. The question is whether the magnetic ring and the electronic module from MR-LS1 or MR-LS2 are actually the same and would fit/work properly inside a Marelli S155C distributor.
I got no answer from Pertronix but maybe somebody in here has got some personal experience to share.

just buy a new or good used electronic distributor
