whats this gizmo under my glove box?

Post by burlybryan »

Says Sipea 12v and has a harness plug unplugged lying next to it. Did a search - is this the power window relay (which I don't have)?

Funny, however, he is asking a serious question  The correct answer is smoke screen Heisenberg capacitor

both quite funny, however a wiring diagram of the year will help, could it be the bell for the seat belt?? I have a 1980 and a lot of that stuff was removed prior to my ownership so I don't recognose it??

(sorry, couldn't resist. I actually have no idea, but bet it is either seatbelt chime or door buzzer or window related and hence unplugged and unused. A schematic should help track it down.)

In true Fiat electrical karma, I don't dare plug it in for fear of a cascading electrical failure - or ejector seat initiation.

Lots of mention of a power window relay in this area when searching, but there are a bunch of relays and other electrical connections below. This sits on top of the steel dash cross member. Could be very well be seatbelt bell because I know that's been disabled. Just curious. It's gonna be left as is - unless it's the magical solution to my chronic cold start problems....
