power wire to the coil : what gauge ?

Hello,

I have to replace the wire that powers the coil.
I do not find any record of what was on the car before I removed it.
Will go directly from the ignition switch to the + connector of the coil (Light Blue/Black wire).
Is this a big consumer ?
What gauge should it be ?

I would use 16 guage. My Fiat is in stroage so I can't look and it's not in my Shop manual or I can't find it. The coil doesn't draw more than 10 amps and that is what 16awg is good for.
