Did you inspect and clean the connectors on the flasher unit? Also, might be the flasher unit crapping out.

It was shinny, but I did not get a new flasher yet, u can get them at the local store, or no.?
Another thing, it shows one flash at the direction signal at the dash, I wonder if it not a bad unit

I purchased a replacement from AutoZone and it did not work. Being it's an electrical part it could not be returned. Keep in mind it must be a heavy duty flasher unit because the signal and hazard flasher is one and the same.

Are your hazards flashing slow also?
Do all the lights lite with similar intensity?

I would check all the light assembly grounds, both front fender well ground spiders and the ground spider near the flasher under the dash.

Next look at the signal light assemblies themselves. They get corroded over time and need to be clean for a good electrical contact.
I feel cleaning the grounds and light assemblies is normal maintenance on a 30 year old car so even if its not the cause of your problem its good maintenance for a trouble free car.

Had the same "one flash on the inside indicator and then nothing inside problem" but it would keep flashing at the outside light, mechanic replaced flashed unit and problem went away. Not sure where he got it, will find out.
