So the question is where do you physically locate the relays so you arent running a million miles of wire. In theory, the easy way to do it is to pull the power from the B+ of the alternator or the Top lug on the starter and wire directly to the solenoids mounted on each inner fender. Since your old headlight wires run down the same area, you just connect them to the control side of each solenoid and, BADABOOM!, you are good to go.

Wickhud Pissah in Bahston.

I put the relays together on the driver's side fender. 10AWG for each fused powerfeed up to the relays, 12AWG going out. The fuse holders are something I still need to work on. The inline ones are only like 14 AWG or 12AWG at best, and the High Beam gets pretty warm if it is left on. I let it burn on HB in the driveway for 20 minutes straight as a test. The fuseholder wires were pretty warm to the touch. Not desireable. Anybody with fuse block knowledge can chime in on a good solution.

Mounted the relays on little pieces of rubber for shock, not sure it makes a damned bit of difference actually.

(Grounds upgraded in this pic too)

Over the past few weeks I have been adding relays to take the current off switches -- especially the ignition switch. Relays have been added for the headlights, wiper, starter and in this picture these three relays run my horn, radiator fan manual override and fog lights. On the other side I have the two relays for the headlights.

While I was adding relays I also removed six original relays for functions that no longer matter such as the "Ignition Mode" (dual point setup), "Diode," "Charging Light" and "Diverter Valve."

That really cleaned up the look of my engine bay.
