All i was trying to say was that the lead thread message was not that clear, to me anyway. I worked it out, or guessed what he meant at about the third reading
"engine bay OFF THE CARB there was on there Was that there was none there ? or was there one there ? i looked under the car just a quick look and in the truck off the tank and seen none " Ok Ok, in the trunk next to the tank ? but not glaringly plain
I do try and proof my posts but I suspect that some others do not think they need to..? And it is not only in this forum.
i think we're all good.
text is not the greatest way to communicate, because so many nuances get missed. And you're right: there are some (more on other forums) who never seem to care how their posts read. I find it interesting when someone posts a question that they want help with, but they've only got 3 posts and you can't read any of them because they are so badly formatted or spell-checked. I think they show disrespect to the people who will spend time to respond anyway.
However: in Jim's case, and others here and elsewhere, we discover that sometimes it's not a question of uncaring, or disrespect. We're all good a different stuff.

I'm no Boy-Racer..... but if I can't take every on-ramp at TWICE the posted limit.... I'm a total failure!
