Headlight Switch Wiring

Hi folks,

So I found my problem with the headlights (simply not functioning): I forgot to connect the wires back to the switch to the left of the gauges. In my infinite wisdom, I didn't write down what wires went where. I have all the wires from the clutch and brake switches disconnected, so I'm left with a few wires in that general area that I'm not sure what they are.

But here's the funny thing; I can't for the life of me find where these wires are on this page: http://www.mirafiori.com/faq/content/Fi ... 1976_5.jpg Call me stupid, but I don't see where the three-position toggle switch is. I see the high/low beam changeover switch, but not the toggle switch. Any ideas? Pictures would always be great.

The car is a '76, which does match the wiring diagram (or should, at least).

And in other news, I was able to get the car back operating on all four cylinders. I just cleaned the jets going to cylinder #4, and that cleared it up. It's still backfiring every now and then, so I'd say it still needs a good tuning. I did open the gas needle valves a bit, which seems to have helped some.

Yes, thank you very much! That's a much better site than the other thing I was using. I don't know if colors will be identical from year to year, but we'll find out tomorrow!

On Brad's site the 1975 diagram will be closest to the 1976 spider. I have an actual Fiat wiring diagram in PDF form for the 1976 if you are interested. Send me an email and I'll send it to you. matt.scarton@gmail.com

on your 1976 diagram you are looking for the nr 46 (sounds like a chinese restaurant menu).

for the clutch pedal and brake pedal switch : these are part of the anti-pollution-things and go to a relais under the dash ( not on your diagram) Grey-yellow and white-black to the clutch , red and white to the brake ( on a 1978 at least)
