Advance spring for Marelli S144CBY distributor

Post by coise »

Do anyone know where I can find new advance springs for a Marelli S144CBY distributor (dual point). Mine are too weak, especially the secondary.
Thanks to all for any info.

go to the parts store and get a GM curve kit they have 3 sets of springs
you need the smallest pair
the rest of the package is useless
thats what im using around $8
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

Do you happen to know the part number? Is it the Distributor Advance HEI Curve Kit part number: BK-735-4448?

Let me know if it´s the one.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Its like a third world country here sometimes, highest cell bills, inaccessible trade...I feel like we should be in central africa or something.. at least then we might get a better summer

If it's just regular HEI chevy stuff, it's avail at just about any parts store in the US has them on the shelf. Spectre, MSD, accell, etc sell them. You might check around for a Mr Gasket 929g, very common around here.
