Had to cut the metal fuel supply line, what to do?

Hi

I have a 83 fiat spider 2.0 FI. I wanted to take off the fuel rail with the injectors to send to OKInjectors for cleaning. I could not unscrew the fuel Supply line coupling (12mm male 17mm female) to save my life so after two days, I buckled and cut the supply line (metal tubing) with a hack saw .

After i got the rail out of the hood I was able to unscrew the coupling - the fuel injectors and rail are on their way to oklahoma but I need to figure out how to fix my mess in the meantime. Pictures are attached. Any ideas?

I'm realizing how dump that was. Anyway, found a complete metal supply line on bayless (see link) is this the only soultion? how hard is to replace this line?

I just replace my fuel line. The only hard thing was to make the curves fit just right. You don't have to replace the line just because you cut it. Just buy some fuel injection hose and clamps and put it back together. I used a gas/oil sealant on the ends of mine as well I bought at Autozone.

you can use brass compresion coupler
you cut off 1 inch and put the coupler on

When I have to cut metal lines like that, I cut an extra small piece off, take it to my local car parts store and have them find a rubber fuel line that you can sleeve the metal line with. Just be certain to smooth the edges of the line to eliminate burrs. This'll get you back on the road until you can replace the line with an appropriate metal piece.

How far back from the original fitting? I just bought a cheap flairing tool for about $14.00 .
Perhaps consider putting the male end of the connector back on the cut end and then flair the end. Cut the old hose from the rail,take the female end and clamp it on the end of a longer piece of fuel hose. Do make sure the conection is real snug though,at 35+ psi it does not take much for the fitting to leak there. I've done it several times and really put some effort ito snugging that connection up.
