Hit the brakes and R/turn signal stops???

Post by whiterabbit »

Ok,new one on me. Right side turn sig stops blinking when you hit the brakes, left signal works fine. I thought they were separate, one circuit for brake light and one for signals? Wiring is not butchered, all original. Any ideas? Bad ground? Bad switch? Hedge hog in trunk?
Thanks all,

Yup bad ground and/or improper bulb.

I had the same issue a while back. Because those signal wires all run through the hazard switch I found that one of the plugs back there was loose and every time I stepped on the brake, contact was lost, and the turn signal quit. I'm not saying that's your issue, but pop the radio out, reach in and make sure all the connections on that switch are good and tight.

Yep. Haz button wiring. I pulled it,cleaned it,lubed it, and now turn signals work just fine. Thanks all! :D
