a person should be able to move the wipers by hand ? just by moving the arms. would the arms move or not. seem to me my motor would not move when i took it out of the car, u would think moving that one arm on the motor ,. it should turn

not necessarily. the mechanics gives the motor a big ratio advantage. If the wipers are in the stop position you dont have good leverage.

You mean the linkage is not moving with the motor disconnected? If so it should move or its seized.

You shouldn't be able to move the wipers or the motor byhand.

oh, i could have swore i did when i installed it, but prolly not then, anyways i took it apart and now it trashed lol

if i was to turn on the wiper switch there should be power out side at the wiper motor connection, am i correct? or does the car got to be running, another thing ,i recall is when i uses the wipers switch there was a clicking sound from a relay( i assumed that was from a relay). does a relay burn out often? and why would it click anyways
