hood front molding?
Was there a hood front molding that matches with the grill opening molding on a 78 Spider?

No. That started in 79
1978 Spyder 1800 make that 2L! Finally making real progress!

Here is how my 78 arrived. When I look at what IAP offers for the 78, I don't see any hood trim.

I removed the small bump hood and used one off a 1980. That hood does have the trim.
