What are these parts????

Post by kensmith »

I found these parts in the trunk when I bought the car but I don't know what they are for. They are thin plastic. Anyone know what they are? Also, why doesn't my pic from photobucket fill the page instead of cutting almost the entire right half off?

don't know what the parts are but the pic issue I do. You have to resize the pic at photobucket.

They cover the back side of the tail light assembly in the trunk.

Do you know how to resize them? They work just fine on some of the other forums without re-sizing.

Thanks, I just lifted the trunk carpet and I can see where they were removed for some reason. Maybe someone was too lazy to put them back on?

The pix size is one of the drawbacks of this forum. I find i have to photoshop the image and reduce to a width of 700 pixels.

Use the "re-size" button in Photobucket, which appears when you "select" the desired picture. Choose a new size and experiment till you have the size you want.

Aren't they the covers for the inside of the tube bumpers?

those covers are for the pre 79 spiders, if you have trunk carpet, it would be from a 79 or later, those cars did not use the plactic covers. they were basicaly to keep items in the trunk from slamming into the wires and the back of the light assy's. the carpet does just as good a job, if you have both i would install them and use the carpet, because im just that way :)

Or just right click the photos and select "view image".
That's what most people do here.

The picture right here in the forum. Right-click it, then select "View Image". Walah! It's full size now!

I tired that, View Image is not there. Maybe because it's my picture?

Doesn't work for me either. No "view image"..... I just save the pics to my computer and then can see them.....you can never have enough Fiat pics, hey? :D
