An observation about top fit--side window

Post by TulsaSpider »

I have had my "new" top on for about 1.5 years at least. I have always had trouble with the passenger rear/side window sealing. It seemed the gap was much wider. The other day I was studying this problem when it occurred to me that perhaps the
top wasn't the problem. It seems like if there was a way to bend the top bow out about 1.5 inches it would solve my problem. Those bows look pretty stout though!

Mine was just a hair off center in the back and it created the same sealing issue with the velcro on the drivers side. Once I centered it up they both seal correctly. The problem I'm having right now is with where the top goes around the header bow. I didn't glue it so I think the top is slightly coming off the front from use creating slack in the back window. Have you checked that your cables are tight? My original top didn't have them and I never could get the velcro to come close to sealing on the quarter windows.
