Simple question: On my '78 how do the side emblems come off?
That's all!

They do come off, but there were two designs. The early models were threaded and held on by 4 or 6 mm nuts. You have to take the two quarter trim panels out to access the nuts. The later models just popped in and were held by clips. You may be able to pry them off but I'm not sure. I don't know when the design changed.

Hi Clark, did you get the emblem off? I'd guess it's most likely the later style that has two posts that are held in place by clips on the inside of the body panel. You can usually pop them off by using a plastic grocery bag, slip it behind the emblem and pry out. A little wiggling may help.
