Windshield frame polishing

Post by azygoustoyou »

Just to let everyone know. I tried to polish a nice looking windshield frame. As soon as I put the buffer to it. It took off the chrome coating. So if you decide to clean up yours. Watch the buffing. Hopefully this will save you from making the same mistake. :|

Brady, what did you use? 25 grit blasting media to polish the chrome.
Sorry to hear that. I used Blue Magic Chrome polish on a soft cloth and it came out beautiful, even though it had 10 years of grime and dust.

No I tried my electric polishing buffer. That was one I was going to sell. I'll make sure I don't use it on the one for my car.

Brady, that wasn't a polishing buffer. It was your grinding wheel from Harbor Freight  See you tomorrow at 08:30 am. George
