well, now that you mention it... i'll dive right in.

not one to balk at another man's (or woman's) modifications to their vehicle. put whatever you want on your car, i won't jump up and down. i realize that there are the "purists" among us, and they'd have something to say about the matter.

technically, your '79 should not say fuel injected anywhere. absolutely all '79 Spiders were carbureted, as were most early 1980's.

i have a non-FI badge for you, the offer remains the same as above.

Well what if i just took the FI out of the 81 and put it in the 79 and make it my own custom 79! :D don't you think that will make everyone want to see a 79 with a FI?

if your two litre in the '79 is stock, you will be very pleased with the change in performance once you sort out the bugs in that F.I. engine.

Mike are you sure that some late '79 California models didn't come with Fuel injection. Some guy told me he had one but maybe he was mistaken. Mark would probably know.

i am certain. but, there have been untold bazillions of modifications, and countless previous owners to many of our cars.

i am more surprised when i see a completely stock vehicle change hands now adays then when i see a new modification.

I would concur with Mike, there were no '79 factory fuel injected cars. The first injected cars were 1980 California cars, later in 1980 all US bound cars arrived with fuel injection.

Could a 1980 California car been titled as a 1979, maybe but given the legalese of those that keep track of those things I doubt it.
