Front Spoiler

Post by gmd »

So...
am considering buying the front spoiler / air dam, from Auto Ricambi...
to install on my 1972 Sport Spider 124.

Curious as to recommendations on install...
self tapping titanium screws or 3/8 x 1.5" bolts n'nuts?

I used stainless hardware on mine - round-headed machine screws, nuts, and lock washers. Stainless always looks great,...

Please don't use SAE fasteners on a European car. There's no reason to, unless you want to make life difficult for any subsequent owner or mechanic that has to take it apart.

Ace hardware has an excellent selection of metric hardware. For the size you quote, I'd suggest M10x40. Which seems awful large for what you are trying to install.

Original equipment was M6 x 12-15 mm - bolts, nuts and washers - along the front edge, M6 x 15 bolts and washers in the front sides and M8 x 10 mm bolts in the rear corners.
