F/G or Plastic Chin Spoiler?

Post by Justice777 »

Any pros and cons or opinions: f/g vs. plastic?

I'd guess plastic is tougher but I think if it ever hit something I'd rather sacrifice a $100 f/g spoiler than tweak the sheet metal nose because plastic one held on.

I installed the black plastic one, from AR, about 5 years ago, didn't paint it, and it has been fine, no issues at all. There is enough meat around the mounting points that it is held very rigidly, doesn't vibrate, and there are no stress cracks. Probably 10,000 miles with it on so far.
