What I have is a 1608 in my garage with a 1438 head attached
I turn over the engine by land with ease, no catch no where
I also have in my garage is a new head 1756 , I did some checking with the casting numbers before I decided to ask on this
What I am wondering is, can the 1756 head be placed on the 1608 block, does the water passage line up and or everything else
Thanks

Re: Heads
From all I have read and what randy has told me that the 1608 will slip right in to the 70 engine bay with out any modifications, and housing will all bolt up from a 1438 ( that what in the 70 )
So I do have a engine for it
So I do have a engine for it
