Vent Window Weatherstrip

1981. 2000. The side windows run in a channel lined with that fuzzy weatherstripping. The forward weatherstrip channel is intigrated into the vent window frame. At the very top of the vent window channel there is a second small piece of rubber weatherstrip. It looks to have a metal tang that gets pushed into the frame. Do you just pull on the rubber part to pop it our or is it glued in place? The usual vendors carry this piece. They call it " Door glass Guide Rubber Plug" I want to remove and replace it.
